세원셀론텍, 세포배양시설 중국 특허 등록 마쳐

세원셀론텍은 세포치료제의 해외수출을 실현한 세포배양시설(Cell Processing Center)이 중국특허 등록(특허명칭: 세포치료제를 생산하기 위한 세포조작 및 배양장치)을 완료했다고 14일 밝혔다.

이로써 중국에서 2027년까지 20년간 존속되는 특허권을 확보했다는 설명이다.

오염방지 및 공간활용을 극대화한 이 특허기술로 상용화된 세포배양시설은 현재 영국(RMS UK)을 비롯 네덜란드(RMS Netherlands)와 폴란드(RMS Poland) 등 유럽지역에 공급돼 가동 중이며, 이곳에서 제조한 세포치료제가 현지환자의 재생의료에 적용되고 있다.

회사 RMS본부 서동삼 상무는 "세포치료제 시장뿐 아니라, 피부미용성형 분야를 타깃으로 광활한 중국시장에 진입하기 위한 교두보 마련에 다각적인 노력을 기울이고 있다"며 "지난해 하반기 고순도의 바이오콜라겐 화장품 노보스트라타(NOVOSTRATA)가 중국 국가식품의약품관리국(SFDA)의 승인을 거쳐 제품 등록을 마친 바 있다"고 특허등록의 의의를 설명했다.
