신약개발 정책·지원 콘트롤타워 필요성 부각

바이오의약산업 토론회, 범부처 정책 조정해 신약개발 속도 내야


국내 바이오의약산업 육성을 위해 부처별 R&D 지원 등 관련 정책을 연계해 신약개발에 속도를 낼 수 있도록 해야 한다는 주장이 강하게 제기됐다.

한국바이오의약품협회(대표 주광수)가 13일 여의도 켄싱턴 호텔에서 ‘4차 산업혁명 시대의 바이오의약품 산업과 새 정부의 역할’을 주제로 개최한 새 정부 출범, 바이오의약품산업의 나아갈 방향 토론회에서는 현재 부처 간 R&D 지원책의 비연속성을 지적하는 목소리가 많았다.
